McNamee Frame was founded in 2023 by Angela McNamee and Kathryn Frame who bring over 50 years combined clinical experience and 40 years experience providing medico-legal reports.

Both Angela and Kathryn have developed strong reputations within the industry over many years and their team of experts include highly experienced professionals who are well-respected within their field of practice.

Experience:

Angela has over 29 years of experience working in both metropolitan and rural settings across Queensland, in hospitals, schools, community and private practice settings. Her extensive experience spans orthopaedic conditions, neurological disorders, burns, spinal injuries, and workplace rehabilitation.

Angela is a trusted expert witness, with her testimony used as precedent in multiple cases. She has held leadership roles in workplace injury prevention and rehabilitation services and has  assisted hundreds of workers return to work after injury and illness.  Angela has also managed complex case management services for severely injured individuals and has provided ongoing expert medico-legal opinions across Australia.

Angela graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from The University of Queensland in 1995. She has extensive clinical experience across metropolitan and rural Queensland, working in hospital, school, community and private practice settings. Her clinical experience includes orthopaedic conditions, neurological disorders, burns, spinal injuries and workplace rehabilitation.

Throughout her career, Angela has held leadership roles in workplace injury prevention and rehabilitation services and has supported a significant number of workers to return to work following injury or illness. She has also managed complex cases involving severely injured individuals and has extensive experience providing functional and occupational therapy assessments, including home, in-room, functional capacity, activities of daily living, care needs and employability assessments. 

For many years, Angela has worked as an expert witness, providing independent expert opinions and medico-legal evidence across Australia. Her expert evidence has been relied upon in significant legal matters, and she has provided oral evidence in court proceedings.

Kathryn has over 26 years of experience, providing occupational therapy services in hospitals, schools, community, workplace and private practice settings. She has extensive experience in medico-legal assessments and functional capacity evaluations, particularly relating to employability and daily living needs.

Kathryn has led interprofessional teams in major hospitals and private practices, ensuring high-quality service delivery. She has worked as an expert witness for over 15 years, providing reliable testimony in court proceedings and legal conclaves.

Kathryn graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from the University of Queensland in 1997. She has significant clinical experience across the continuum of care and in a broad range of practice areas. Her clinical experience includes working with people with general medical and surgical, orthopaedic, oncological, cardiac, respiratory and neurological conditions. She has experience in workplace injury prevention and rehabilitation and has practised across hospital, community and private practice settings. 

Throughout her career, Kathryn has been responsible for establishing, developing and leading interprofessional teams, with a strong focus on quality service delivery and effective allied health practice. She is currently studying towards a Master of Palliative Care at Flinders University, further developing her expertise in this area of particular interest. 

For more than 15 years, Kathryn has worked as an expert witness, providing independent expert opinions across a range of matters. She has experience providing oral evidence in court proceedings.

Anna brings over 26 years of experience, specialising in paediatric occupational therapy. She has worked in a wide range of settings, including acute care, community health, and private practice, with a particular focus on neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, brain injuries, and neuro-oncology.

Anna has led occupational therapy departments in tertiary hospitals, ensuring clinical governance and quality assurance. In recent years, she has transitioned into medico-legal work, providing expert opinions and assessments for paediatric clients in complex medico-legal cases.

Anna is also currently an appointed Clinical Advisor for Occupational Therapy for the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Anna holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from The University of Queensland (1997) and a Certificate in Evolving Health Leadership from Monash University (2022). She has more than 26 years of experience in occupational therapy, with a particular focus on paediatric practice. She has worked across a range of settings, including acute care, community health and private practice, with extensive experience supporting children with neurological conditions, including cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury and neuro-oncology. 

Anna has led occupational therapy departments within tertiary hospitals, with responsibility for clinical governance, quality assurance and the delivery of high-quality clinical services. In recent years, she has developed her medico-legal practice, providing independent expert opinions and assessments in matters involving children and young people, drawing on her extensive clinical experience in paediatric occupational therapy. 

Anna is also currently appointed as a Clinical Advisor for Occupational Therapy with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 

Experience:

Lauren graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from The University of Queensland in 2012. She has experience leading a team of occupational therapists to deliver high-quality services to inpatients within a 200-bed private hospital. 

Lauren has extensive experience supporting people across the continuum of care and an in-depth understanding of the impact of orthopaedic, neurological, oncological, cardio-respiratory and other general medical and surgical conditions on a person’s functional performance and participation in everyday activities and employment. 

Lauren is experienced in assessing functional capacity and providing recommendations with respect to sustainable hospital discharge, independent or supported living, community participation and sustainable return to work. Her expertise in care and therapy prescription, equipment prescription and environmental modifications, together with her experience in workplace injury prevention and rehabilitation, enables her to provide independent expert opinions regarding a person’s current and future daily living needs and employment capacity.

Melody graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from The University of Queensland in 2000 and has completed additional vocational training in home and building modifications, as well as post graduate qualifications in tertiary and adult education. She has more than 25 years of experience providing occupational therapy assessment and treatment services across public and private hospitals, primary care and private practice settings and continues to maintain an active clinical caseload, enabling her to provide expert opinions that reflect current Occupational Therapy practice. 

Melody has provided independent expert opinions for medico-legal purposes for the past five years. Her extensive experience in assistive technology prescription, environmental modifications and functional assessment, together with her experience working across the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), primary care and aged care sectors, provides her with a broad understanding of the factors that influence a person’s functional capacity, daily living and support needs.

Melody provides independent expert opinions relating to functional capacity, daily living activities, environmental needs, assistive technology and support requirements.

Experience:

Elissa is a highly experienced account manager and has worked with Angela and Kathryn for over 15 years. She has a thorough understanding of the medico-legal process and requirements for billing and payments.

With outstanding communication skills, Elissa builds strong relationships with our clients. She has excellent attention to detail and helps to ensure the operational efficiency of our business.

Margaret brings extensive experience providing professional administrative and business support across the financial and health sectors. With a strong background in accounting and financial administration, she has developed a high level of attention to detail, organisational skills and a thorough understanding of professional and confidential business environments. 

In her role supporting the occupational therapy team, Margaret assists with the administration and coordination of medico-legal matters, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of services.
